I have long been passionate about fashion and collect compliments on my daily outfits from all my friends. I have also always been interested in famous people's outfits. In my childhood, my first drawings were of princesses in wide dresses. Every day, I drew illustrations of new dresses and later started drawing everyday clothes. I always tried to stand out, to be different from everyone else.
However, when it came time to choose a profession, I chose marketing. Years of study gave me the necessary knowledge in economics and finance to form an essential foundation for starting my own business, which I not only dream about but also plan.
Recently, I became a mother, postponing all my plans. And then, war came to our home. Yes, I am from Ukraine. My family and I now live in London. Adapting took a long time, but I am now ready to pursue my dreams, and fashion is my love and passion. I can spend hours browsing clothing stores, examining different items and their quality. Then fate threw me into The Professional Photo, Film, TV & Personal Stylist's Course. I had just thought, "Maybe I could help people buy clothes?" when I saw an advertisement for the course.
The online course delivery is very convenient because I am still shy and not very confident in speaking English. Receiving tutorials, assignments, and feedback by email was the perfect option for me to start mastering the profession.
The tutorials contain a lot of information and many sources for learning and inspiration. All the information is well-structured; it contains everything you need to know to start working after completion. I loved the practical assignments. By completing each task, I have ready-made work for my professional portfolio.
The most exciting thing was waiting for my tutor's feedback. I put a lot of effort into my work and constantly worried if I had done enough. I always want my work to be liked, so I try hard to make everything perfect. When I received my feedback, I felt like I had wings. My tutor always chose such encouraging words about my work. This filled me with confidence that I was doing what my soul desired and could become a stylist.
I will miss the learning experience. Although we did not communicate in person, I felt a connection with everyone who put their soul into this course. I am grateful to everyone. For those who have not yet decided whether to take this course, I will say, "It's worth it," maybe we will meet someday as graduates and call each other "colleagues." And now I'm ready to help people accentuate their beauty to feel more confident and achieve their goals. Because as Edith Head said, "You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it."
