Working as a personal/professional stylist is a lot of fun and offers the opportunity for work freedom, self-expression, the joy of assisting others to feel their best and financial gain.
The role of the stylist runs far deeper than simply ‘selecting outfits’. Along with keeping up with current trends and understanding how to conceal body flaws, as a stylist you may find yourself writing fashion articles, providing fashion direction to buyers, merchandisers, or designers and working at fashion shows and events.
The personal satisfaction of working directly with clients is immensely rewarding. From the thrill of seeing a positive change in a client when they feel good about themselves, to playing a significant role in driving a successful campaign with a corporate or advertising client; through to seeing your beautifully curated editorial shoot on the pages of a glossy magazine. The satisfaction delivered from a career in styling are second to none for any fashion lover.
No special equipment required!
We recommend that students work within their own budget when it comes to course equipment.
Your course fees cover the learning materials, assessments, and student support. The obvious basic necessities such as a notebook, pens, internet and computer access will be required but other than that, it’s up to you.
As the course is delivered and completed entirely online, we recommend that our students are familiar with using a computer or mobile device for course communication. The only other requirement is a digital camera (or smart phone with a camera in order to assist with your assignment submissions.
